Orientation Walking Tour of Venice – The group will become oriented with their “sestiere” (Venetian neighbourhood), the public transportation system, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. The association will introduce the group to the issue of over-tourism and explain the basic to-dos and not-to-dos in the city.

Ghetto Walking Tour – Visit of the Venetian Jewish Ghetto – The English word “ghetto” is derived from the Jewish ghetto in Venice. Visit to the Venetian Jewish Museum.
Venetian Dinner - The group will be taken for a delicious Venetian dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets

Trip to Murano, Burano and Mazzorbo – Departure with the Vaporetto (Venetian “bus”) from Fondamenta Nove: visit to a glass production site and discover life in the Venetian lagoon.

Group Lunch at Spačio Matika
Poreč/Parenzo – Visit to the Basilica, UNESCO heritage. A quick look at the relations between Venice and the Byzantine Empire.

Transfer to Zadar (Approx. 4 hours) – Introduction to the former capital of the Venetian Stato da Mar. On the way there, we cross the territory of Rijeka/Fiume (former Habsburg Empire).

Zadar Walking Tour – A guided tour of the Old Town with a local researcher. The history of the Venetian conquest of Zadar, visit to the Venetian fortresses, the arsenal, Callelarga. Testing the guidebook’s Dalmatian dictionary and tasting local (Venetian) recipes.

Šibenik Fortress – Visit to the Venetian fortresses and encounter with a local historian of the organization Fortress of Culture – an excellent example of (re)use of cultural heritage.
