Orientation Walking Tour - The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency. 

Welcome Dinner - The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Naxos Farm Experience - Naxos is famous throughout Greece for its cheeses and the tradition is well kept in small dairies like this throughout the island's interior. Discuss with the locals and get to know the rural life. 

  • Welcomed to this village farm with some chilled homemade lemonade and then the tour of the farm begins.
  • During the tour, you will see traditional Greek farm animals such as goats and pigs.
  • Visit vegetable garden, the vineyard, followed by a detailed presentation of some specific trees that exist in the garden. 
  • Learn about cheese making and try your hand at cheese making too. 
  • The experience ends with a tour in a "mitato", the little stone house usually built next to the farm, full of old tools and traditional vintage items.

(Students will be divided in two groups to be able to enjoy the experience thoroughly: half of the group will participate in the Farm experience while the other half will visit the Temple of Demeter and churches close by. Then the groups will switch)

Nemea - Discover Ancient Nemea, set in a fertile upland valley in the north of the Argolid, also hosted important panhellenic games (all-Greek). We pass through the long-vaulted tunnel to the beautifully-positioned stadium, its walls covered in graffiti left by ancient competitors. In the sanctuary itself, we explore the splendid Temple of Zeus and the museum, filled with finds from Nemea, as well as the Mycenaean Aidonia Treasure.

Winery Visit and Light Lunch- Nemea is an area renowned for one more reason: its wine produce. It is the oldest established wine appellation in the country, based on the delicious Agiorgitiko grape.

Service Learning Project –  i.e. Boroume: a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce food waste and fight malnutrition in Greece; Social kitchen ‘the other man’: a self-governing group, which cooks food in public places for the community.

Full Day Excursion Cape Sounion

Swim at Lake Vouliagmeni - The water temperature is between 22 to 29 degrees Celsius throughout the year. The water is constantly being renewed both by the thermal springs and the sea and this results in its brackish composition. 

Visit an Organic Farm and Group Lunch - Learn about their regenerative agriculture techniques (45’ tour) and enjoy a farm-to-fork meal as well an olive oil tasting

Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion - This magnificent Doric temple stands on a vertical precipice, enjoying a breathtaking 180 degrees view of the open sea. The ancient Greeks always chose to build their temples and oracles at places with palpable energy and Cape Sounion is definitely one of them.
