Arrive in Hanoi, Vietnam

Orientation Walking Tour - The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency. 

Welcome Dinner - The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets.

day 3 / HANOI

Breakfast & Day Briefing 

Hochiminh Mausoleum - This is the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh, the most iconic and popular leader of Vietnam, known to his people as ‘Uncle Ho'. His embalmed corpse is preserved here in a glass case.

National Assembly House - An overview of the government apparatus and politics of  Vietnam.

Lunch Break

Temple of Literature and Hoa Lo

Prison - The temple was built in 1070 and is Vietnam's first national university. Here you will learn about the architecture of the temple and hear stories of Confucius, the royal studies and strict exams. Meanwhile, the prison will tell the story of the Indochina war, Vietnam war and American POWs.

Water Puppet Theatre - The tradition of water puppet theater comes from a time when rice paddy fields were flooded and villagers would create local entertainment by standing in waist-deep water with the puppets performing over the water.

day 4 / HANOI - HALONG

Board on a Cruise to Halong Bay - Halong is a spectacular view point made by over 3000 limestone islands on the sea. Its beauty has been recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage, for its diversified beauty and the historical value of geography.

Thien Mu Pagoda - Enjoy the Zen atmosphere with Buddhism stories of this land. After the visit get back to Hue with a boat ride in the Perfume River.

Ho Chi Minh City Tour - Introduction to the history of South Vietnam as well as this vibrant city, also known as Saigon. The most robust city in Vietnam, It is an important center of business, arts and entertainment. We will have the opportunity to visit both old and new Ho Chi Minh City in the French Quarter before we head to the market streets, the temples of Cholon, and Chinatown.

Cu Chi Tunnel Tour - Built in the early 1940s during the war against the French. The tunnels, more than 820,000 feet long and three levels deep, became famous during the Vietnam War when they were used by the Vietcong guerilla troops as a hideout for their surprise attacks on the Americans and the allied troops.

day 9 / HO CHI MINH - CAI BE

Mekong Boat Trip - It is often referred as the “rice bowl” of Vietnam because the area produces more than half of Vietnam’s rice, thanks to good soil, a great water supply and fantastic weather. We will explore the Mekong Delta’s canals, orchards, local communities and their life.

Bayon Temple - Visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, then explore the centerpiece of this ancient city, the Bayon. The Bayon holds 54 towers decorated with more than 200 enigmatically smiling stone faces. You will also visit the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of Leper Kings, as well as Ta Prohm Temple, made famous by the movie Tomb Raider.

day 14 / SIEM REAP - PHNOM PENH

Breakfast & Day Briefing 

Angkor Watt City Tour - Long morning tour through the countryside to visit Banteay Srey with some of the most impressive deep sculptures found in the region.  A 3km road excursion through villages and paddies. Then we will continue onto Banteay Samre Temple to explore the large, comparatively flat temple displaying distinctively Angkor Wat-style architecture and artistry.

Drive Back to Phnom Penh
