During this guided virtual tour we will visit the local community of Chinchero in the Sacred Valley of Peru, where people still speak the Inca’s language and where time stood still from the 1500’s until now.
Gain a deeper appreciation of ingenious Inca techniques as these charming ladies demonstrate each step of the process to create hand-made textiles in traditional styles. Learn about the natural dyes that give the fabrics their distinctive, vibrant colors.

LAKE TITICACA AND ITS MAN-MADE FLOATING ISLANDS
Lake Titicaca has a rich history and surviving living culture – including the man-made floating islands of the Uros community. Besides the islands themselves, all the houses, boats, etc are constructed out of reeds from the local totora plant. There really is no other place like it on earth, and its traditions and lifestyle has been preserved for over hundreds of years!
During this virtual tour we will be visiting the Uros community as they demonstrate to us their traditions and their reed-made homes, and take us on a short boat ride.

THE PRE-INCAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES IN LIMA
In this off-the-beaten-path virtual guided tour you will visit two ancient, impressive archaeological sites of Lima: Huaca Pucllana and Huaca Huallamarca, both built about 2 thousand years ago, both important to show you the origin of this millenarian city. We will also visit one of the biggest parks of Lima, the “Olivar” or olive’s groove of San Isidro, a very exclusive residential zone and home of some endemic bird species.
