DAY 1 – DEPARTURE – Monday, May 26

Depart Home for Tangiers, Morocco

 

DAY 2 – CHEFCHAOUEN – Tuesday, May 27

Arrive in Tangiers, Morocco

Airport Transfer to Chefchaouen

On-ground Briefing

Hotel Check-In
Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency. 

Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets. 

 

DAY 3 – CHEFCHAOUEN/FES – Wednesday, May 28

Breakfast & Day Briefing

Cultural Visit 1: Orientation walk of the medina

Visit one of the most iconic medinas in Morocco, the Medina of the blue city

Lunch break

Visit textile workshop/Community Service

(TBD) – Discover and practice the traditional berber techniques in a textile cooperative

Drive to Fes over night in nice riad

DAY 4 – FES – Thursday, May 29

Breakfast & Day Briefing

Cultural Visit 3 – Fes Walking Tour with expert local

guide – You will visit very interesting and beautiful places in the old Medina, such as Médersas Attarine, Fontaine Ennajarine, Mausoleum of Moulay Driss, The Karaouine Mosque, and the New Medina in Fes Jdid

Lunch Break

Cultural Visit 4 – Tanneries of Fes – Fes’ tanneries are composed of numerous stone vessels filled with a vast range of dyes and various liquids spread out like a tray of watercolors

 

DAY 5 – FES/CEDAR’S FOREST-ZIZ OASIS – Friday, May 30

Depart to Ziz Oasis (approx. 5,5 hours)

Natural activity 1: Stop in the middle Atlas cedar

forest of Azrou – We will see the Barbary apes, in this

ancient conifer forest

DAY 6 – Erfoud to Merzouga Desert – Saturday, May 31

Breakfast & Day Briefing

Natural Activity 2: Visit Berber farmers – Learn how these families organize their work and grow their crops.

Service Learning Activity – Learn all about

the Khettaras – Khettaras – this is what the oasis irrigation water system is called. Help the families clean these waters coming from sand dunes

Lunch break

Camel and ride it over Dunes –  in order to watch one of the most dramatic sunsets ever. Before it gets dark, we are going to drive back to our Sahara desert Camp to stay the night, where a well deserved Moroccan dinner will be served under the stars next to the campfire  while the local Nomads are going to entertain us with their music played with their drums, while the dunes expose a great display of shooting stars

 

DAY 7 – ERFOUD/MERZOUGA/TODRA GORGES – Saturday, June 1

Breakfast & Day Briefing

Wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life  admiring the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast in the riad, you’ll leave for Erfoud, Tinghir and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco.

Lunch in the heart of the Gorges Natural Activity 3: Walking around Todra Gorge – Enjoy the marvelous views of the canyons. precedes a drive through  the beautiful Rose Valley and Skoura with its historical mudbrick castles and Kasbahs.

Overnight in a hotel in Ouarzazat

 

DAY 8 – DADES GORGES/MARRAKECH – Sunday, June 2

Transfer to Marrakech (approx 4 hours)

Check-in, Relax & Refresh

Cultural activity 4: Historical & Cultural

Tour of Marrakech – Jemaa el-Fna Square,

Mellah (Jewish quarter), Medina (labyrinthine alleyways)all up Look lol

of the old town), Souks (Marketplace, Artisans), Koutoubia mosque, Bahia Palace, Kasbah and more…

Cultural activity 5: Saadian Tombs –

Deliberately hidden for centuries, the magnificent Saadian Tombs were eventually uncovered in 1917

DAY 9 – MARRAKECH/ATLAS MOUNTAINS  – Monday, June 3

Breakfast & Day Briefing

After having breakfast drive to the highest Atlas Mountain to discover the Berber Villages where there was the heart quake and help the Berber people

Having lunch and getting back to Marrakech in the evening 

 

DAY 10 – RETURN – Tuesday, June 4

Depart Marrakech, Morocco for Home

Payment Schedule

150 days prior to departure $500 per person is due and payable by January 4th, 2025

90 days prior to departure, the second payment in the amount of 50% of the remaining amount is due and payable by February 25, 2025

60 days prior to departure, the third and final payment in the amount of the remaining amount is due and payable by March 27, 2025.
