Day 1 – Departure – Thursday, May 5

  • Depart Home for London, England

Day 2 – London – Friday, May 6 

  • Arrive in London, England

  • Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc.
  • Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 3 – London – Saturday, May 7

  • London Literary Walking Tour
  • British Library – From wild and remote landscapes to vulnerable heroines; from violent and erotic fantasies to supernatural and uncanny happenings; Gothic fiction has intrigued and unsettled readers for more than two centuries.

Day 4 – London – Sunday, May 8

  • Karl Marx’s Tomb – The Tomb of Karl Marx stands in the Eastern cemetery of Highgate Cemetery. It commemorates the burial sites of Marx, of his wife, Jenny von Westphalen, and other members of his family.
  • Westminster Walking Tour of London – Westminster is London at its grandest: the place where kings and queens are crowned, where they lived, and often were buried. It’s the forge of the national destiny, the place where the heart of the Empire beat, the Mecca of politicians throughout the ages. The past here is cast in stone and we take it all in: ancient Westminster Hall, the Houses of Parliament, the Jewel Tower, Westminster Abbey and more…
  • Westminster Abbey (Poets’ Corner) – Poets’ Corner is the burial site for a number of the London playwrights. Ben Jonson, Francis Beaumont, William Davenant and Michael Drayton are all buried in the Abbey, as are poets Geoffrey Chaucer and Edmund Spenser.

  • Dove Cottage – Wordsworth Museum – Dove Cottage is a house on the edge of Grasmere in the Lake District of England. It is best known as the home of the poet William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy Wordsworth from December 1799 to May 1808, where they spent over eight years of “plain living, but high thinking”.

Program payments

150 days prior to departure $500 is due and payable by December 6, 2021.
90 days prior to departure, the second payment in the amount of $1,545 is due and payable by February 4, 2022.
60 days prior to departure, the third and final payment in the amount of $1,545 is due and payable by March 6, 2022.

Payment Policy: The 1st deposit is refundable up to 100 days prior to departure. If the trip is canceled for not reaching the minimum number of participants the deposit will also be refunded.
