Itinerary

DAY 1 – DEPARTURE – Sunday, June 9

Depart Home for Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Airport Transfer

Check-in, Relax & Refresh
Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency.

DAY 2 – SANTO DOMINGO – Monday, June 10

Breakfast & Day Briefing 

Full Time Orientation By Yessica De Los Santos and Dr. Reinoso

City Tour at the  Colonial Zone and Free Market

Lunch Buffet at the Hotel (included)

Visit the Men and Women Museum, and Historic Museum 

Dinner (included)

African music presentation, by the Grupo Duluc , Talk and presentation about the Safety, National Police and Tourist Police Presentation, at the Guanin Center

 

DAY 3 – SANTO DOMINGO – Tuesday, June 11

Breakfast & Day Briefing 

Field Trip to the XVI Century Sugar Meal, Trapiche Site Lecture about the Sugar Meal Industry, the Freedom Slave in the Dominican Site

Lecture about San Cristobal and the dictatorship Leonida Trujillo era

DAY 4 – SANTO DOMINGO – Wednesday, June 12

Site visit, Los Congos De Villa Mella – is a brotherhood of the Holy Spirit founded in the 16th century by enslaved Africans and mestizos. This brotherhood is one of the most important and unique traditional socio-cultural expressions of the Dominican African Diaspora in the Dominican Republic.

Payments Schedule

150 days prior to departure $500 per person is due and payable by January 11, 2024.

90 days prior to departure, the second payment in the amount of 50% of the remaining amount is due and payable by March 11, 2024.

60 days prior to departure, the third and final payment in the amount of the remaining amount is due and payable by  April 10, 2024.
