Itinerary

Day 1 – Departure

Depart Home for Amsterdam, Holland

Day 2 – Amsterdam

  • Arrive in Amsterdam, Holland
  • Airport Transfer – Check-in & Refresh
  • Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 3 – Amsterdam

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Historical & Cultural Walking Tour of Amsterdam-
    Amsterdam is a city practically built on top of water, with a total of 165 canals! Along with all those canals comes a huge number of bridges and houseboats. Amsterdam is considered the best bike city in the world. There are even more bikes than people, almost 100,000 more.
  • Lunch Break
  • Anne Frank House – Anne Frank is one of Amsterdam’s most well known former residents. The Anne Frank House at Prinsengracht 263 in Amsterdam is where she lived in hiding with her family for more than two years during World War II. Now converted into a museum it contains a sobering exhibition about the persecution of the Jews during the war, as well as discrimination in general.

Day 4 – Amsterdam

  • Rijksmuseum – The Rijksmuseum, which in English means – The State Museum, has existed for more than two hundred years and today belongs to the most breathtaking museums in the world.
  • Lunch Break
  • Bloemenmarkt Flower Market – Founded in 1862, Bloemenmarkt is a beautiful and touristy flower market floating on the Singel canal in central Amsterdam
  • Canal Boat Tour – Discover Amsterdam’s historic canals and most important points of interest as you sit back and enjoy the sights on a relaxing Amsterdam Canal Cruise

Day 5 – The Hague

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Travel to The Hague (approx. 1 hour)
  • Historical & Cultural Walking Tour of The Hague – The Hague is an exciting city to visit, as it feels at once like a vibrant metropolis and a small town. It has tall houses, charming mansions and stylish, hectic streets, as well as serene canals, open plazas, and a more peaceful atmosphere than the typical city.
  • Lunch Break
  • Mauritshuis – The Mauritshuis is home to the very best of Dutch Golden Age painting. The compact, yet world-renowned collection, is situated in the heart of The Hague, right next to the government centre. Masterpieces such as Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp by Rembrandt, The Goldfinch by Fabritius and The Bull by Potter are on permanent display in the intimate rooms of this seventeenth-century monument.

Day 6 – The Hague

  • Vredespaleis – The Peace Palace is globally known as the temple of peace and justice. But what is it that we are actually doing at the Peace Palace? And how does this contribute to a more peaceful world?
  • Lunch Break
  • Gemeentemuseum – The monumental Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, designed by the architect H.P. Berlage in 1935, is perfect for wandering around in. It houses a varied collection and many changing exhibitions. You will find the world’s biggest collection of works by Piet Mondrian, the highlight being his last abstract work Victory Boogie Woogie, along with some of the finest works by artists of the Hague School, paintings by Picasso, Kandinsky, Van Gogh, Monet, Toorop and many contemporary artists.

Day 7 – The Hague

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Madurodam – Miniature city Madurodam in The Hague is the perfect place to discover what makes Holland so unique. Canal houses, flower-bulb fields, cheese markets, windmills, the Peace Palace and Delta Works: you can find them all in Madurodam.

Day 8 – The Hague

  • Farewell Dinner & Program Closing

Day 9 – Departure

  • Transfer to Amsterdam Central Station (approx. 1 hour)
