Itinerary
Day 1 – Departure
- Depart Home for Taipei, Taiwan
Day 2 – Taipei
- Arrive in Taipei, Taiwan
- Airport Transfer

- Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc.
- Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.
Day 3 – Taipei
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Historical & Cultural Tour of Taipei Old Town – Dadaocheng, 228 Peace Memorial Park, The Presidential Office, Our Inner City Market, Zhongshan Hall, Ximending, and The Red House, Chinese Medicine Shop and more…
- Lunch Break
- Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall – The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall was built to the commemorate the life of the leader of Nationalist China who moved his government, the Republic of China, into exile on Taiwan after his defeat at the hands of Mao Zedong in 1949.
- Fresh Market Tour & Taiwanese Cooking Class – Step into a Taiwanese home and learn authentic Taiwanese cuisine with traditional cooking gears. All of the classes are hands-on and made from scratch. Participants will receive printed English recipes.
Day 4 – Taipei
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- National Palace Museum – The Taipei National Palace Museum is a world-class museum that hosts an eclectic collection of treasures kept by generations of Emperors ruling from the Forbidden City. In WWII, Nationalist troops seized the most important pieces in order to prevent invaders from ransacking China’s national treasures.Â

Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines – The Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines was established in 1994 as a specialist museum founded on the collection and display of artefacts of Taiwan’s indigenous peoples. It is dedicated to promoting mutual understanding between different ethnic groups, through careful research, preservation and explanation of the essence of Aboriginal cultures. - Structured Free Time & Cultural Immersion
Day 5 – Taipei

- Travel to Jiufen (approx. 1 hour)
- Explore Jiufen Old Street
- Lunch Break
- Houtong Cat Village – Originally a small coal mining town built during the Japanese era, Houtong attracted over 6,000 workers to the area, producing the highest amount of coal in Taiwan. By the 1990s with the ending of coal industry activities, the town’s population began to decline, and is now a mountain town with museums and shops.
- Return to Taipei
Day 6 – Taipei
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Museum of World Religions – Though founded by a Buddhist order, this museum aims not to promote Buddhism, but to build harmony by showing the communality of all religions. Highlights include detailed scale models of the world’s great holy sites such as Islam’s Dome of the Rock, Sikhism’s Golden Temple and Christianity’s Chartres Cathedral; remarkably, the insides of these models can be viewed via tiny cameras.

- Elephant Mountain Hike & Sunset – Also known as Xiangshan, the hike takes a total of around 15-20 minutes to the top, and includes lots of stairs!
Day 7 – Taichung
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Travel to Taichung (approx. 2 hours)
- Historical & Cultural Walking Tour of Taichung – Taichung Station, Miyahara Sweet Shop, Midorikawa Green River, Herbal Tea Street, Mizumame Shaved Ice, Sun Cake Museum, Downtown Recreative Foundation and more…
- Lunch Break
- Rainbow Village – Rainbow Village is a tiny settlement in the Nantun District of Taichung which is famous for its vibrantly painted houses and streets.

Day 8 – Taichung
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- 921 Earthquake Museum – At 1:47 AM on September 21, 1999, Taiwan experienced one of its worst natural disasters of the past century – a 7.3-magnitude earthquake that devastated the central part of the island.
- Lunch Break
- Chun Shui Tang Tea House – Visit the ‘birthplace of bubble tea’, Chun Shui Tang Tea House in Taichung. Learn to make your own bubble tea with the help of professional instructors.
- Calligraphy Greenway – Located in the heart of Taichung, Calligraphy Greenway is the arts and cultural center of the city.
- Night Market
Day 9 – Taichung
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Sun Moon Lake Excursion – The largest lake in Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake does not fail to impress with its calm, refreshing waters, and scenic, mountainous surroundings. Familiarize yourself with this beautiful setting by taking a walk along the lake.
Day 10 – Taipei
