Itinerary

Day 1 – Departure

  • Depart Home for Stockholm, Sweden

Day 2 – Stockholm

  • Arrive in Stockholm, Sweden
  • Airport Transfer – Check In, Relax & Refresh
  • Orientation Walking Tour –The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc.
  • Dance Performance 1 – To be determined
  • Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic  dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 3 – Stockholm

  • The Dance Museum – Dansmuseet is a museum for the performing and visual arts located in Stockholm, Sweden. Opened in 1953 in the basement of the Royal Swedish Opera, it originally displayed a large collection of dance-related art that belonged to Rolf de Maré, a leader of the Ballets suédois in Paris from 1920–25. The library contains the most comprehensive archive of literature on dance in Northern Europe.

Day 6 – Stockholm

  • Vasa Museum – The Vasa is the only preserved seventeenth-century ship in the world and a unique art treasure. More than 95 percent of the ship is original, and it is decorated with hundreds of carved sculptures.
  • The 69 meter-long warship Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in the middle of Stockholm in 1628 and was salvaged 333 years later in 1961. For nearly half a century the ship has been slowly, deliberately and painstakingly restored to a state approaching its original glory.
