Itinerary
Day 1 – Departure
- Depart Home for Incheon, South Korea
Day 2 – Seoul
- Arrive in Incheon, South Korea
- Airport Transfer (approx. 1h)
- Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc.
- Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic Korean dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.
Day 3 – Seoul
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace – the first and largest of the royal palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty. Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace was located at the heart of newly appointed capital of Seoul (then known as Hanyang).
- National Folklore Museum – Located inside Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum of Korea presents over 4,000 historical artifacts that were used in the daily lives of ordinary Korean people. Here you can fully immerse yourselves in previous domestic and agricultural lifestyles, and learn about Korea’s cultural beliefs.

- Namsan Park & Seoul Tower – The top of the tower is at almost 480 meters above sea level

Day 4 – Jeonju
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Transfer to Jeonju City (approx. 3 hours)
- Visit Jeonju Hanok Village with Hanbok Costume – Experience the city of Korean food

- National Intangible Heritage Center

Day 5 – Namwon
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Transfer to Namwon and visit Gwanghallu Garden
- Visit Holy Land of Korean Traditional Music – Learn how to make a Korean traditional instrument.

- Namwon Boat Tour – Observe the modern Haeundae skylines and Gwangan bridge from the sea.

Day 6 – Gyeongju

Day 7 – Seoul

- Visit Daereungwon Tumuli Park
- Bulguksa Temple (UNESCO World Heritage) – Bulguksa Temple is a representative relic of Buddhist culture from the Silla kingdom. The temple was built in 528 BC during the 15th year of King Beop-heung’s reign (514-540) to wish for peace and prosperity for all. The temple now holds seven national treasures, a number of additional important heritages, and was designated a World Cultural Heritage Site along with the nearby Seokguram Grotto by UNESCO in December 1995.

Day 8 – Seoul
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Transfer to Paju (approx. 1 hour)
- DMZ and the 3rd Tunnel Tour – The Third Tunnel of Aggression is one of four known tunnels situated within the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) separating North Korea and South Korea. The tunnel was built by North Korea in the 1970s, who initially denied its existence when South Korea discovered it later. The North were then said to have claimed it was a coal mine, before it was revealed that they had dug the tunnel in order to launch a surprise attack on Seoul. The South eventually took control of the tunnel, blocking off the demarcation line with the North via concrete barricades.

- Back to Seoul to visit National University Gallery
