Itinerary

Day 1 – Departure

  • Depart Home for Oslo, Norway

Day 2 – Oslo

  • Arrive in Oslo, Norway
  • Airport Transfer
  • Check In, Relax & Refresh
  • Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency. 
  • Welcome Dinner & Program OrientationThe group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 3 – Oslo

  • Oslo Historical & Cultural Walking Tour(Parliament House, University of Oslo, the National Theatre, Royal Palace)
  • Lunch Time
  • City Hall Guided Tour There are 16 wooden friezes in the City Hall’s courtyard made by Dagfin Werenskiold (1892-1977), painter and sculptor. They show the motifs from Norse mythology: the life of gods and the stories of wisdom and love, war and hate, and magnificent visions of the future.

Day 4 – Oslo

  • Viking Ship MuseumAll the viking ships at the museum were ocean going vessels before they were hauled onto land to be used in burial rituals for their wealthy owners. In the burial mounds, archeologists unearthed skeletons, beautiful wood carvings and a diverse range of artifacts from the fascinating world of the vikings.

  • Vigeland ParkThe Vigeland Park is the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist, and is one of Norway’s most popular tourist attractions.

Day 5 – Oslo

  • Historical MuseumThe Historical Museum is located in one of Oslo’s most beautiful jugend buildings, and shows permanent and changing exhibitions on four floors.

Day 7 – Odense

  • Lindholm HøjeWhere the history of the area comes alive. With an outset in the recovered relics, you will be introduced to Viking life through magnificent reconstructions, panoramas, illustrations and 3D animations. Experience how the inhabitants of Lindholm kept cattle, worked the field, built and decorated their houses, cooked, wove and traded.
  • Transfer to OdenseThe city is named after Odin, the Norse god of war, poetry and wisdom, a perfect patron for a cultural and historical hotspot.

Day 8 – Odense/Copenhagen

  • Odense CathedralBuilt in the 1300s, it’s a Gothic cathedral with a bright, high nave. Many consider this to be the finest Gothic building in Denmark.
