Day 1 – Departure

  • Arrival in San Francisco – Airport Transfer
  • Check-in, Relax & Refresh
  • Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. 
  • San Francisco Highlights
  • Welcome Dinner at Fisherman Wharf- The group will be taken for a dinner with options to cater all diets.

Day 2 – San Francisco

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Japantown – San Francisco’s Japantown, the largest of 3 in the US, has been the center of the Bay Area’s Japanese and Japanese American community since 1906.
  • Chinatown – Explore the largest Chinese community outside of Asia and the oldest in America.
  • Lunch Break

Day 3 – San Francisco

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Explore North Beach – San Francisco’s historic and vibrant neighborhood. Ferry Building, Transamerica Pyramid, Fisherman’s Wharf, Six Gallery, Beat Museum and more…
  • Lunch Break
  • Alcatraz Island – A mile and a half from Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz was the site of the first lighthouse built on the Pacific Coast, then a federal prison for such notorious convicts as Al Capone. Alcatraz was the site of the first lighthouse in the Western United States but became a federal penitentiary from 1934-1963, housing famous convicts such as Al Capone and George “Machine Gun” Kelly.

Day 4 – San Francisco

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Explore Castro Neighbourhood – The historic center of the LGBT community reflects a vibrant neighborhood popular with young families, tech workers, an artist community and filled with popular boutiques, bars and restaurants attracting a wide circle of patrons.
  • GLBT Historical Society Museum – The GLBT Historical Society Museum is the first stand-alone museum of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender history and culture in the United States. It celebrates the San Francisco’s vast queer past through dynamic and surprising exhibitions and programming. 
  • Lunch Break
  • Explore South Beach

Day 5 – San Francisco

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Angel Island Excursion – Island Hike, Bike or Tram Ride, Immigrant Station.
  • Return to San Francisco

Day 6 – San Francisco

Day 7 – San Francisco

  • Black Panther Party Tour – During the 16 years of the Black  Panther Party’s existence the party expanded outside of Oakland to more than 40 chapters and branches across the country and the world including England, India, New Zealand, Israel, China, North Korea, Vietnam and Algeria and support from Germany, Sweden, France, South Africa, Japan, Canada, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Uruguay.
