DAY 1 – DEPARTURE – Saturday, July 1

Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency.
Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets.
DAY 3 – CHEFCHAOUEN – Monday, July 3

Cultural Visit 1: Orientation walk of the medina – Visit one of the most iconic medinas in Morocco, the Medina of the blue city)

Visit textile workshop/Community Service (TBD) – Discover and practice the traditional berber techniques in a textile cooperative.

Cultural Visit 2: On the route stop in Meknes to discover the ruins of Volubilis – The archaeological site of Volubilis, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is possibly the best preserved Roman site in this area of
North Africa.

Orientation Walk in the Medina – Discover this stunning Medina, with narrow streets full of smells, colours and flavours, the biggest medina in the world.
DAY 5 – FES – Wednesday, July 5

Cultural Visit 3 – Fes Walking Tour with expert local guide – You will visit very interesting and beautiful places in the old Medina, such as Médersas Attarine, Fontaine Ennajarine, Mausoleum of Moulay Driss, The Karaouine Mosque, and the New Medina in Fes Jdid.

Cultural Visit 4 – Tanneries of Fes – Fes’ tanneries are composed of numerous stone vessels
filled with a vast range of dyes and various liquids spread out like a tray of watercolors.
DAY 6 – FES/CEDAR’S FOREST-ZIZ OASIS – Wednesday, July 6

Natural activity 1: Stop in the middle Atlas cedar forest of Azrou – We will see the Barbary apes, in this ancient conifer forest.

Natural Activity 2: Visit Berber farmers – Learn how these families organize their work and grow
their crops.
Service Learning Activity – Learn all about the Khettaras – Khettaras, this is what the oasis irrigation water system is called. Help the families clean these waters coming from sand dunes

Transfer to Merzouga (approx 2,5 hours)
Natural activity 3: Camel Ride – Get ready for an enjoyable camel ride and to enjoy the sunset
over the dunes.
Group dinner with local Berbers – Savor your dinner under the stars in the desert, while listening to the nomad Berber music, and spend the night in the glamping style nomad yurts.
DAY 8 – MERZOUGA/ TODRA GORGE – Friday, July 8

Payments Schedule
150 days prior to departure $500 is due and payable by February 1, 2023.
90 days prior to departure, the second payment in the amount of 50% of the remaining amount is due and payable by April 2, 2023.
60 days prior to departure, the third and final payment in the amount of the remaining amount is due and payable by May 2, 2023.
