Day 1 – Departure – Friday, March 19

  • Depart Home for Oslo, Norway

Day 2 – Oslo – Saturday, March 20

  • Arrive in Oslo, Norway
  • Airport Transfer – Private Bus

  • Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. 
  • Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 3 – Oslo – Sunday, March 21

  • Oslo Historical & Cultural Walking Tour – Parliament House, University of Oslo, the National Theatre, Royal Palace and more…

  • Vulkan Neighbourhood – At the once industry-heavy bank of the river Akerselva, one of Oslo’s most interesting new city development projects, called Vulkan, has come to life. Innovative, eco-friendly architecture defines this neighbourhood, which, among other sustainable features, has a local energy centre with 300-metre deep geothermal wells, and an office building with an exterior that is visually defined by its extensive solar water heating system. Vulkan brings together a multitude of people and enterprises, and the area comprises two hotels, schools, Oslo’s first food hall, office spaces, cultural venues, restaurants, and apartments. It is the Oslo-based architect firm LPO that has developed and transformed Vulkan from a run-down industrial area to a vital new neighbourhood right in the centre of Oslo.

Day 4 – Oslo – Monday, March 22

  • Business Visit 1 – NEL – Nel is a global, dedicated hydrogen company, delivering optimal solutions to produce, store and distribute hydrogen from renewable energy.  Hydrogen solutions cover the entire value chain from hydrogen production technologies to manufacturing of hydrogen fueling stations, providing all fuel cell electric vehicles with the same fast fueling and long range as conventional vehicles today.

  • Business Visit 2 – BiomimicryNorway – Workshop BiomimicryNorway is an organization focused on sustainable innovation. Nature is sustainable and does not generate waste (waste from a species is a valuable resource for other species). Taking inspiration from nature, the circular economy and biomimicry offer fantastic opportunities to innovate in any field, reshaping business models, products and services to make them more sustainable.

Day 5 –  Oslo – Tuesday, March 23

  • Business Visit 3 – Asplan Viak – Asplan Viak provides multidisciplinary consulting services in architecture, buildings and constructions, urban- and landscape planning, energy and environmental engineering, technical installations, transport, geoinformation and visualisation, water- and environmental engineering.
  • Lunch Break
  • The Viking Ship & Historical Museum – Learn about the lives and adventures of the Vikings at the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo. See ships that were built over 1,000 years ago. Watch an informative film to learn about the world’s three best-preserved Viking ships and hear stories about sailing the Norwegian fjords.

Day 6 – Copenhagen – Wednesday, March 24

Day 7 – Copenhagen – Thursday, March 25

  • The National Museum – The museum is a time-machine with destinations such as Vikings, Egyptian mummies and a hash stall from Christiania.

Day 8 – Copenhagen – Friday, March 26

  • Business Visit 5 – House of Green – In the showroom, students will be introduced to the Danish approach to a more sustainable future and present examples of Danish solutions that can be utilised to make a tangible difference in solving global climate and environmental issues. Structured around four key thematic challenges, Circular Economy, Water, Cities and Energy, they play an essential role throughout the presentation.

  • Nordhavn Neighbourhood – Conceived to meet Copenhagen’s future need for housing, the industrial area of Nordhavn now gleams with purpose and promise, on a mission to become a ‘sustainable city of the future’.

Day 9 – Copenhagen – Saturday, March 27

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Copenhagen Bike Tour – Discover and experience a capital that plans to be carbon neutral by 2025. The carbon neutral capital strategy includes a lot of initiatives concerning transportation, energy supply, adjusting to climate changes and green architecture.

  • Free Time & Cultural Immersion
  • Farewell Dinner & Program Closing –  The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 10 – Copenhagen – Sunday, March 28
