London: Theater

10 days

During this 10 day program, students will explore London to learn more about theater, and dive deep into Shakespeare’s past and works.

This program offers an in-depth look into Shakespeare’s life. At Guildhall Library, students will learn about the library’s significance in Shakespeare’s plays. At the Playhouse Yard, we visit the indoor Jacobean Theater where Shakespeare wrote ‘The Winter’s Tale’. After, we visit the Cockpit Tavern, built on the site of the only known property that Shakespeare owned in London. Finally, we visit St. Helen’s Bishopsgate Church, where Shakespeare worshipped and was a ratepayer of the parish.

We will also visit the Globe Theater and learn about its rich history, as well as experience a Shakespearean play.

Additional activities include historical and cultural walking tours, tours of the British Museum and National Gallery, visits to world-famous markets, Tower Bridge, and a London Eye River Cruise.
