Itinerary

DAY 1 – DEPARTURE – Monday, May 13

Depart Home for Paris, France

 

DAY 2 – PARIS – Tuesday, May 14

Arrive in Paris, France

Airport Transfer

Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency.

Left Bank Walking Tour – Pont Neuf, Quartier Latin, Sorbonne, Pantheon, Jardin de Luxembourg

Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets.

 

DAY 3 – PARIS/LYON – Wednesday, May 15

DAY 9 – PARIS – Monday, May 20

Tour the capital’s areas impacted by the Olympics – The magic of the Olympic and Paralympic Games can be glimpsed in the shining eyes of the athletes. For a city, a region, or a country, this magic can also be gauged by its direct and indirect effects. In their modern incarnation, the Games have the unique ability to effect social change, to spur economic growth, and to enhance the environment. Their impact frequently exceeds expectations. Their legacy is often lasting and profound. In devising its Olympic ground plan, Paris 2024 elected to establish some of the critical facilities (Olympic and Media Villages, aquatic centre) in the Seine-Saint-Denis department. The group will tour the area with our expert guide. (TBC)

River Seine Cruise – The best way to get a panoramic view of this spectacular city.
Eiffel Tower in the evening – An object of discord, desire and fascination, the Eiffel Tower never fails to impress since 1889.

 

DAY 10 – CHARTRES/PARIS – Tuesday, May 21

Chartres Walking Tour

Guided Visit Chartres Cathedral and Crypt – UNESCO World Heritage site, Chartres Cathedral is an essential landmark in the history of medieval architecture. This is a unique opportunity to discover the secrets of this high place of Christianity, you will discover the surprising history of the cathedral from its creation to the most recent discoveries and will remain amazed by the many mysteries it contains to the depths of his crypt.

Maison Picassiette – La Maison Picassiette is an extraordinary mosaic house and considered as an example of naive art. A worth visiting monument while you are in Chartres.

DAY 11 – PARIS – Wednesday, May 22

Breakfast & Day Briefing

Versailles – Get access to the full Palace with timed entry + audio guide to see the estate of Trianon, the temporary exhibitions,, the Gardens of the Palace and the Park.

Montmartre Walking Tour – This is the “artists neighborhood”. Retrace the footsteps of artistic legends such as Dali, Degas, and Hemingway, among several others. The Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur Cathedral are especially famous attractions that have been attracting visitors for decades.

 

DAY 12 – PARIS – Thursday, May 23

Louvre Museum – Home to Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the Louvre is considered the world’s greatest art museum, with an unparalleled collection of items covering the full spectrum of art through the ages.

Arc de Triomphe (without entrance)  – The Arc de Triomphe honors those who fought and died for France during the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. Under its vault lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from the WWI.
