Itinerary

Day 1 – Departure

  • Depart Home for Rome, Italy

Day 2 – Reggio Emilia

  • Arrive in Rome, Italy
  • Transfer to Reggio Emilia (approx. 3 hours)
  • Welcome Dinner & Program Orientation – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 3 – Reggio Emilia

  • Full Day at Loris Malaguzzi International Center
    10 AM – Introduction to the history and the values of the Reggio Emilia Approach – The Reggio Emilia Approach is an educational philosophy based on the image of the child, and of human beings, as possessing strong potentials for development and as a subject of rights who learns and grows in the relationships with others.
  • 2 PM – Guided Tour of the Center: visit of the interactive spaces, the exploration and research workshops.
  • 3.30 PM – Q&A, Debate

Day 4 – Reggio Emilia

  • School Visit – 5 hours practicum
  • Reggio Emilia Historical & Cultural Walking Tour –
    Piazza Prampolini, Piazza Fontanesi, Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, Teatro Valli, Parco Cervi
