Itinerary

DAY 1 – DEPARTURE

  • Depart Home for Tel Aviv, Israel

DAY 2 – JERUSALEM

  • Arrive in Tel Aviv, Israel
  • Airport Transfer to Jerusalem (approx. 1 hour)
  • Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency. 
  • Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic Israeli dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets.

DAY 3 – JERUSALEM

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Historical & Cultural Tour of Jerusalem – Visit the Western Wall and walk through the Jewish Quarter. Discuss Jerusalem’s significance to the Jewish community.
  • Lunch Break
  • Meet with Rabbi Daniel Roth
  • Structured Free Time & Cultural Immersion

DAY 4 – JERUSALEM

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Temple Mount – Discuss Jerusalem’s significance to Muslim community (cover knees and shoulders).
  • Explore Christian Quarter – Via Dolorosa, visit Church of Holy Sepulcher to learn about its history and challenging sectarian conflicts.
  • Lunch Break
  • Mount of Olives Lookout
  • Meet with an Imam
  • Visit Sabeel and have a discussion with a Palestinian Pastor

DAY 5 – JERUSALEM

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Yad Vashem Museum – Yad Vashem, Israel’s largest Holocaust memorial, sits on the slopes of the Mount of Remembrance on the edge of Jerusalem.
  • Walking tour of Ein Kerem – Learn different narratives about Zionism and Israel’s 1948 War of Independence.
  • Lunch Break
  • Ammunition Hill – Hear stories about the war of ’67.
  • Structured Free Time & Cultural Immersion

DAY 6 – JERUSALEM

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Settlements Tour in Tekoa – Meet with local Settlers.
  • Lunch Break
  • Visit a Local Organization called Rabbis for Human Rights
  • Structured Free Time & Cultural Immersion

DAY 7 – HEBRON/JERUSALEM

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Transfer to Hebron
  • Hebron, the Abraham Mosque and Synagogue
  • Lunch with Palestinian Family (included)
  • Travel to Nativ Ha’asara (approx. 2 hours)
  • The Other Voice Organization – Meet with representatives.
  • Return to Jerusalem

DAY 8 – BETHLEHEM

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • 9 AM – Transfer to Bethlehem (approx. 2 hours)
  • Visit Deheishe Refugee Camp – Meet Mazen Faraj from the Parents Circle and local resident.
  • Lunch Break at Tent of Nations
  • Volunteer with Daoud Nasser (Bring clothes fit for farming work)
  • Meet Local Host Families
  • Dinner with Host Family

DAY 9 – BETHLEHEM

  • Breakfast with Host Families
  • Transfer to Masada
  • Ancient Fortress of Masada – Masada, ancient mountaintop fortress in southeastern Israel, site of the Jews’ last stand against the Romans after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 ce. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2001.
  • Lunch Break
  • Float on the Dead Sea or Relax on the Beach
  • Transfer to Jordan River
  • Capernaum – Capernaum, in the Galilee of northern Israel is a Biblical village. It sits not far from other important Christian sites in Israel.
  • Dinner with Host Families

DAY 10 – NAZARETH/TEL AVIV

  • Breakfast with Host Families
  • Transfer to Nazareth (approx. 2 hours)
  • White Mosque and Church of the Annunciation Tour – The Annunciation Church-located in the small town of Nazareth, Israel, is one of the most important churches in the Christian world today. The walls of the church are inlaid with statues of the Virgin donated by churches from all over the world.
  • Lunch Break
  • Transfer to Tel Aviv/Jaffa
  • Dual Narrative Tour of Old Jaffa
  • Structured Free Time & Cultural Immersion
  • Farewell Dinner & Program Closing

DAY 11 – RETURN

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Airport Transfer
  • Depart Tel Aviv, Israel for Home
