Itinerary

Day 1 – Departure

  • Depart Home for Dublin, Ireland

Day 2 – Dublin

  • Arrive Dublin, Ireland
  • Airport Transfer & Check-in
  • Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. 
  • Dublin Historical & Cultural Walking Tour Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets

Day 3 – Dublin  

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Croke Park Stadium Tour Croke Park has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for over 100 years. With a capacity of 82,300, this magnificent stadium is actually the third largest in Europe. Here you will be given a fascinating tour of the GAA Museum and the stadium and learn how Gaelic Games have played a vital role in Irish culture for centuries. 
  • Lunch Break
  • Gaelic Games – At ‘Na Fianna’ Gaelic Club, our expert staff will explain a little about playing the unique Gaelic sports. This introductory chat will include video footage. Learn the basics of Gaelic football, hurling and handball. A highly experienced coach will be assigned to each group of ten and at each step along the way our trainers will provide guidance.

Day 4 – Dublin

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • UCD University Visit Sports Management Department – UCD is one of Europe’s leading research-intensive universities; an environment where undergraduate education, masters and PhD training, research
    Lunch Break
  • Local Sports Institution/Organization Visit – Presentation on Sports Management followed by Q&A’s
  • Structured Free Time & Cultural Immersion

Day 5 – Dublin

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Aviva Rugby Stadium Tour The Aviva stadium tour includes a behind-the-scenes look into the player’s entrance, the press room, the media centre and photographer’s room as well as allowing visitors time in the dressing rooms. Visitors can walk down the tunnel used by the players to enter the pitch, enjoy photography opportunities pitch side as well as visit the stadium’s 5th floor, home to some of the best views in Dublin.

Day 6 – Dublin

  • Howth Harbour & Cliffs Hike – The Howth Cliffs are located northeast of Dublin and have over 10 miles of hiking and walking trails with views of Lambay Island, Irelands Eye, the village of Howth, and the gorgeous, rocky coastline.

Day 7 – Dublin

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Glendalough, Kilkenny & Wicklow Mountains Day Trip – A full-day tour of the Wicklow Mountains, monastic site of Glendalough, and the medieval city of Kilkenny. Enjoy scenic views, lush valleys, and still lakes and watch a shepherd with his trusty border collie sheepdog. Explore the wild, powerful beauty of quintessential Ireland and delve deep into the beating heart of this ancient country.
  • Return to Dublin

Day 8 – Galway

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Transfer to Galway (approx. 3 hours)

Day 9 – Galway

  • Cliffs of Moher & Burren Full Day Excursion – See the dramatic landscapes of the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren on an amazing coach trip from Galway.
