Itinerary

Day 1 – Departure

  • Depart Home for Dublin, Ireland

Day 2 – Dublin

  • Arrive in Dublin, Ireland
  • Airport Transfer & Check-in
  • Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc.
  • Yeats Exhibition at National Library
  • Writers Museum – The Irish literary tradition is one of the most illustrious in the world, famous for four Nobel Prize winners and for any other writers of international renown.
  • Welcome Dinner & Program Orientation – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets

Day 3 – Dublin

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Dublin Walking Tour – Trinity College & Book of Kells
  • Lunch Break
  • Literary Pub Tour – The actor kicks off the Literary Pub Tour with a song – Waxie’s Dargle, with cheerful lines such as “When food is scarce and you see the hearse / You’ll know you’ve died of hunger” – then takes us from the Duke pub through the cobbled square of Trinity College and into several pubs in a nearby maze of narrow streets.

Day 4 – Dublin

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Glendalough, Kilkenny & Wicklow Mountains Day Trip
    – A full-day tour of the Wicklow Mountains, monastic site of Glendalough, and the medieval city of Kilkenny. Enjoy scenic views, lush valleys, and still lakes and meet a shepherd with his trusty border collie sheepdog. Explore the wild, powerful beauty of quintessential Ireland and delve deep into the beating heart of this ancient country.
  • Return to Dublin & Traditional Irish Music Outing

Day 5 – Cork

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Transfer to Cork (approx. 2.5 hours)
  • Queenstown Story Exhibition Cobh – Cobh, The Queenstown Story is a breathtaking and captivating exhibition. The exhibition itself is made up of three parts: The Immigration Story, Building the Titanic and Cobh as Queenstown and is far larger than it appears tp be.
  • Traditional Irish Storyteller – This unique, authentic and entertaining evening of Irish storytelling offers a memorable experience in Cork. The group will listen to stories of Irish life long ago and gain fascinating insights into the history of Ireland.

Day 6 – Galway

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Blarney Castle – This historic castle is most famous for its stone, which has the traditional power of conferring eloquence on all who kiss it. The word Blarney was introduced into the English language by Queen Elizabeth I and is described as pleasant talk, intended to deceive without offending.
  • Transfer to Galway (approx.4 hours)

Day 7 – Galway

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Cliffs of Moher & Burren Full Day Excursion – See the dramatic landscapes of the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren on an amazing coach trip from Galway.
  • Traditional Fish n’ Chips (vegetarian options available)

Day 8 – Dublin

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Transfer to Dublin (approx. 2.5 hours)
  • Joyce Center and Joyce’s Dublin Walking Tour
  • Howth Harbour & Cliffs – The Howth Cliffs are located northeast of Dublin and have over 10 miles of hiking and walking trails with views of Lambay Island, Irelands Eye, the village of Howth, and the gorgeous, rocky coastline.

Day 9 – Belfast

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Transfer to Belfast (approx. 2 hours)
  • Black Taxi Cultural & Political Tour – Take a tour with a local cab driver to explore Belfast’s complex political past and visit murals depicting the Troubles.
  • C.S. Lewis Literary Walking Tour (Optional)

Day 10 – Belfast

  • Giant’s Causeway and Carrick-A-Rede Bridge –
    Sway with the wind as you cross the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, and take in the stunning views of the Causeway Coastal Route
