Day 1 – Departure – Friday, July 3

  • Depart Home for Dublin, Ireland

Day 2 – Dublin – Saturday, July 4

  • Arrive Dublin, Ireland
  • Airport Transfer & Check-in
    Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. 
  • National Museum of Ireland – The National Museum of Ireland is Ireland’s leading museum institution, with a strong emphasis on national and some international archaeology, Irish history, Irish art, culture, and natural history.
  • Welcome Dinner & Traditional Irish Music – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets with Traditional Irish Music

Day 3 – Dublin – Sunday, July 5

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Historical & Cultural Walking Tour of Dublin – Trinity College & Book of Kells
  • Lunch Break
  • Structured Free Time (suggestions by local guide)
  • Literary Pub Tour – The actor kicks off the Literary Pub Tour with a song – Waxies Dargle, with cheerful lines such as “When food is scarce and you see the hearse / You’ll know you’ve died of hunger” – then takes you from the Duke pub through the cobbled square of Trinity College and into several pubs in a nearby maze of narrow streets.

Day 4 – Dublin – Monday, July 6

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Glendalough, Kilkenny & Wicklow Mountains Day Trip – A full-day tour of the Wicklow Mountains, monastic site of Glendalough, and the medieval city of Kilkenny. Enjoy scenic views, lush valleys, and still lakes and watch a shepherd with his trusty border collie sheepdog. Explore the wild, powerful beauty of quintessential Ireland and delve deep into the beating heart of this ancient country.
  • Return to Dublin
  • Optional Theater Performance –  Abbey Theater, Gate Theater, Gaite Theater (based on performance schedul)

Day 5 – Dublin – Tuesday, July 7

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Day Trip to Visit Archaeological Sites – Hill of Tara and Trim Castle
  • Return to Dublin
  • Optional Traditional Irish Folklore and Storytelling Dinner

Day 6 – Ennis – Wednesday, July 8

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Transfer to Ennis (approx. 3 hours)
  • Check-in, Relax & Refresh
  • Ennis Walking Tour
  • Traditional Irish Music

Day 7 – Galway – Thursday, July 9

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Cliffs of Moher & Burren Full Day Excursion – See the dramatic landscapes of the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren on an amazing coach trip from Galway.
  • Return to Ennis
  • Traditional Irish Music

Day 8 – Dublin – Friday, July 10

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Transfer to Dublin (approx. 3 hours)
  • Free Day in Dublin OR Excursion to Howth Harbour & Cliffs – The Howth Cliffs are located northeast of Dublin and have over 10 miles of hiking and walking trails with views of Lambay Island, Irelands Eye, the village of Howth, and the gorgeous, rocky coastline.  
  • Farewell Dinner & Program Closing

Day 9 – Return – Saturday, July 11

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Airport Transfer
  • Depart Dublin, Ireland for Home
