Destinations

Antigua

Once you arrive in  Antigua be prepared to completely fall in love with this vibrant but peaceful colonial town. Antigua is the most popular destination in Guatemala, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Our schools are placed just 20-30 minutes away from Antigua in 2 different towns – Ciudad Vieja and San Lorenzo El Cubo.

Your Volunteer Group experience will start with a warm welcome where  we will go through a full orientation in which we will answer all of your questions. We will explain thoroughly everything about the organization and our projects. After this, we’ll begin our volunteer work, cultural immersion and of course adventures. You will have one local staff member supporting and guiding your group in every activity planned.

In order to get the most of this experience, we recommend coming to volunteer with an attitude of learning, open mindedness, flexibility and positivity.

The impact of the Volunteer Groups:

  • Groups make a big difference in the students lives that we work with. These experiences  provide them with the love and attention that is often missing that they need and desire.
  • Groups act as role model for the children by inspiring and encouraging them to do their best.
  • Groups bring new energy to the program and enthusiasm to our children and staff.
  • Groups also enhance our students educational experience by planning and leading projects.

Volunteer Groups Requirements

  • Be flexible, motivated and willing to change children’s lives.
  • A positive attitude.
  • An appreciation of new cultures that will help you settle in Guatemala and enjoy all of the new experiences

Your experience does not have to end after you leave Guatemala! The real work of inspiring

others begins when you return home by sharing your experience with others.

Let’s work together for a cause providing: Education, Entrepreneurship and Empowerment for almost 500 children, their families and their communities.
