Day 1 – Departure – Saturday, May 14

  • Depart Home for Athens, Greece

Day 2 – Athens – Sunday, May 15

  • Meet the Group at Hotel
  • Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency. 
  • Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 3 – Athens – Monday, May 16

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing 
  • Athens Historical & Cultural Walking Tour National Gardens, Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, Ancient Agora, Plaka, Syntagma Square, Change of the Guards, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and more…

Day 4 – Athens – Tuesday, May 17

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing 
  • Acropolis Hills and Museum, Dionysus Theatre The Acropolis Museum is consistently rated as one of the best museums in the world. Devoted to the Parthenon and its surrounding temples, it is cleverly perched above Athens like a luminous box.  
  • Lunch Break
  • National Gardens & Temple of Zeus – The temple was one of the largest in the ancient world. At 17 metres high, it originally had 104 columns but only 16 have survived with one fallen after a storm in 1852.

Day 5 – Sounio – Wednesday, May 18

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Transfer to Sounion along the Scenic Coastline (approx. 2 hours) 
  • Temple of Poseidon – Majestic Cape Sounion, a strategic point rising above the Aegean sea about 70 kilometers away from Athens in the southern region of Attica, was known by Ancient Greeks as the “Sacred Cape.”
  • Lunch Break
  • Afternoon at the beach
  • Return to Athens

Day 6 – Athens – Thursday, May 19

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing 
  • Olympic Stadium Visit – The Old Olympic Stadium in Athens Greece, built of granite in late 19th century on the site of ancient Athens from the 4th Century; hosted the first modern games in 1896.
  • Lunch Break
  • Lycabettus Hill – Standing 277 meters above sea level, Lycabettus Hill is the highest point of Athens.
  • Chapel of Saint George & Sunset View

Day 7 – Athens – Friday, May 20

  • National Archaeological Museum – The National Archaeological Museum of Athens is the largest archaeological museum in Greece and one of the most important museums in the world devoted to ancient Greek art.
  • Lunch Break
  • Kerameikos Cemetery – Kerameikos, the cemetery of ancient Athens: Kerameikos is one of the most important but least visited archaeological sites in Athens. This was actually the cemetery of ancient Athens and was continuously in use from the 9th century BC until the Roman times.

Day 8 – Delphi – Saturday, May 21

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing 
  • Day Trip to DelphiMuseum, Temple of Apollo and Ancient Theatre The panHellenic sanctuary of Delphi, where the oracle of Apollo spoke, was the site of the omphalos, the ‘navel of the world’. Blending harmoniously with the superb landscape and charged with sacred meaning, Delphi in the 6th century B.C. was indeed the religious centre and symbol of unity of the ancient Greek world.
  • Lunch Break
  • Arachova Village – Arachova Village is a mountainous village nestling picturesquely at the foot of Mt. Parnassus in Viotia, Southern Greece.Return to Athens

Day 9 – Athens – Sunday, May 22

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Academy of Athens Tour – Visit the highest research establishment in the country. It was established in 1926, and operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Education. The Academy’s main building is one of the major landmarks of Athens.
  • Greek Cooking Class & Tasting Menu at Meliartos – Meliartos team discovers local products from producers all over the country and serves them to you in a very special way.

Day 10 – Return – Monday, May 23
