Itinerary
Day 1 – Departure
- Depart Home for Athens, Greece
Day 2 – Athens
- Arrive in Athens, Greece
- Airport Transfer – Private Bus
- Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency.Â
- Welcome Dinner at Hellenic American University – The group will be taken for an authentic Greek dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets.
Day 3 – Athens
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Acropolis Hills and Museum – The Acropolis Museum is consistently rated as one of the best museums in the world. Devoted to the Parthenon and its surrounding temples, it is cleverly perched above Athens like a luminous box.
- Lecture and Discussion: “Athens: The Cradle of Democracy”
- Lunch Break in Plaka
- Explore Plaka and the old City of Athens – Plaka is considered the area that developed around the ancient Agora of Athens and is the oldest district in Athens, as it has been continuously inhabited for around three thousand years. Structured Free

Day 4 – Athens
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Guest Lecture at University – Topic to be determined
- Greek Cooking Class & Group Lunch – The class starts with a quick tour to the local markets to check and buy fresh products, the group returns to the kitchen where everyone has individual cooking utensils to cook a traditional three-course meal, appetizer/ main course/ dessert.
Day 5 – Athens
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Transfer to Dekeleia Military Airport
- Hellenic Air Force Academy Visit – The Hellenic Air Force Academy is a military academy responsible for supplying the Hellenic Air Force with military pilots, aeronautical engineers, air traffic and air defence controllers.
- Hellenic Air Force Technical NCO Academy
- Hellenic Air Force Museum – The Hellenic Air Force Museum was founded in 1986 and since 1992 has been located on Dekelia Air Base in Acharnes north of Athens. In opposition to the War Museum of Athens it displays air force history and is active in restoring and presenting old aircraft.
- Lunch at the Officers’ Club (included) – Return to Athens
Day 6 – Hydra Island/Athens

- Transfer to Port – Ferry to Hydra Island (approx. 2 h)
- Historical Archives Museum of Hydra: The Greek War of Independence in 1821
- Free Time for Swimming

Day 9 – Athens

- National War Museum – Opened to the public in 1975, the Athens War Museum preserves Greek military relics and documents the numerous conflicts the Greek nation took part in throughout the centuries.
- Lunch Break
- National Historical Museum – The National Historical Museum is a historical museum in Athens. Founded in 1882, is the oldest of its kind in Greece. It is located in the Old Parliament House, which housed the Hellenic Parliament from 1875 until 1932.
Day 10 – Athens
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Museum Ship Averof – It’s hard to understate the value of the Averoff in Greece’s naval history. It led Greece into victory during the Balkan Wars of 1910-1912, and assisted in the transport of refugees from Asia Minor in 1922.

- Transfer to Megara Military Airport (approx. 1 hour)
