Itinerary
Day 1 – Departure
- Depart Home for Athens, Greece
Day 2 – Athens
- Arrive in Athens, Greece

- Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc.
- Welcome Dinner & Program Orientation – The group will be taken for an authentic Greek dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.
Day 3 – Athens
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Athens Walking Tour – National Gardens, Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, Plaka, Agoras, etc…
- Lunch Break (suggestion: Greek Souvlaki)

Day 4 – Athens

- Acropolis Site & Museum – The Acropolis Museum is consistently rated as one of the best museums in the world. Devoted to the Parthenon and its surrounding temples, it is cleverly perched above Athens like a luminous box. The large glass panes beautifully draw in the ancient and modern parts of the city, making it a truly evocative experience.

- Olympic Stadium Visit – The Old Olympic Stadium in Athens Greece, built of granite in late 19th century on the site of ancient Athens from the 4th Century; hosted the first modern games in 1896.

- National Archaeological Museum – The National Archaeological Museum of Athens is the largest archaeological museum in Greece and one of the most important museums in the world devoted to ancient Greek art.

Day 6- Delphi
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Transfer to Delphi via Private Bus
- Delphi Archeological Site & Museum – The pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, where the oracle of Apollo spoke, was the site of the omphalos, the ‘navel of the world’. Blending harmoniously with the superb landscape and charged with sacred meaning, Delphi in the 6th century B.C. was indeed the religious centre and symbol of unity of the ancient Greek world.

Day 7- Ikaria
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Metro Transfer to Piraeus Port – Ferry to Ikaria
- Arrive in Ikaria Island – Check-in & Refresh
- Orientation Tour – Ikaria is known for living at its own pace. The island’s main source of income is goat farming and most people grow their own food.

- Lefkada Hot Springs – The natural radioenergic hot saltwater spring pool of Lefkada is a relaxing body experience and not to be missed. Boulders encircle the pool where the hot springs reach the sea.
Day 9 – Ikaria

- Visit Women’s Cooperative Ikaria TBC
- Lunch Break
- Hike ‘Round of the Raches On Foot’ – This tour starts in the village region of Christos-Raches. Forming a circle, the trail is 15 miles long, crossing all types of terrain, beginning at sea level to rise to an elevation of 500 feet
Day 10 – Athens

- Arrival in Athens – Check-in & Refresh

Day 11 – Meteora
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Transfer to Meteora via Private Bus (4 hours)
- Arrival in Meteora – The name “meteora” means “high up in the air,” referring to the towering pillars that make up this rock formation, overlooking the plains of Thessaly, Greece.
Monasteries Visit – The first monks of Meteora arrived back in the 14th century establishing an entire monastic community on top giant cliffs. - Overnight in Kalambaka
Day 12 – Meteora

- Meteora Hike – Walk the ancient trails of Meteora and visit Varlaam monastery. It’s one of the best ways to experience Meteora.

- Return to Athens (4 hours)
Day 13 – Sounio/Athens
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Transfer to Sounion along the scenic coastline
- Temple of Poseidon – Majestic Cape Sounion, a strategic point rising above the Aegean sea about 70 kilometers away from Athens in the southern region of Attica, was known by Ancient Greeks as the “Sacred Cape.”
