Itinerary

Day 1 – Departure

Depart from Home for Paris, France

Day 2 – Paris

  • Arrive in Paris, France
  • Airport Transfer
  • Check-in, Relax & Refresh
  • Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc.
  • Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 3 – Paris/St. Denis

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Excursion St. Denis – Visit St. Denis – This temple has a great historical and architectural importance as it is the first Gothic church ever built and is the burial site of the French Royal Family.
  • Lunch Break
  • Return to Paris
  • Structured Free Time & Cultural Immersion

Day 4 – Paris

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Visit Sainte Chapelle – the Sainte-Chapelle chapel is a jewel of Gothic art. Built in the 12th century, the upper chapel of the monument is covered in 600 m² of stained-glass windows, of which two thirds are authentic.

Day 5 – Paris

  • Musée d’Orsay – Housed in the train station building, constructed by Victor Laloux for the 1900 World Fair, the Orsay is a national museum devoted to all the arts between 1848-1914. The various artistic movements represented include Academism, Realism, Impressionism, Symbolism, Art nouveau.

  • Eiffel Tower & Champ de Mars – An object of discord, desire and fascination, the Eiffel Tower never fails to impress. Enriched by a history full of new developments, the iconic Parisian landmark has loomed over the city since 1889.

Day 6 – Paris

  • Visit Louvre, Passages & Opera – Western art from the Middle Ages to 1848 (paintings, sculptures, objets d’art and graphic arts) and ancient civilization (Oriental, Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiquities); Islamic, African, Asian, Oceanic and North and South American arts.
  • Lunch Break
  • Arc de Triomphe & Champs-Élysées
  • Free Time & Cultural Immersion

Day 7 – Paris/Versailles

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Visit Versailles – The Palace of Versailles is a magnificent example of French Baroque architecture, is the most famous royal chateau in France.
  • Return to Paris

Day 8 – Paris

  • Visit Pompidou – The Centre Pompidou, designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, is a 20th-century architectural marvel, immediately recognizable by its exterior escalators and enormous coloured tubing. It is home to the National Museum of Modern Art and is internationally renowned for its 20th and 21st century art collections.

  • L’Orangerie Museum – Home to numerous impressionist and post-impressionist painters over the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the Orangerie museum displays the famous masterpieces of Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse, Amedeo Modigliani, as well as Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and many other artists of this period.
