Itinerary
Day 1 – Departure – Saturday, May 14
- Arrive in San Jose
- Meet the Group at the Hotel
- Program Orientation – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency.
- Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.
Day 2 – Cahuita – Sunday, May 15
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Transfer to Cahuita (approx. 4 hours)
- Check-in, Relax & Refresh
- Rio Pacuare White Water Rafting – Experience the whitewater magic as you discover the excitement of thrilling rapids coursing through rugged canyons and verdant tropical rainforests on one of the most exotic and scenic rivers in the world. This adrenaline-pumping excursion takes you through class-III and -IV rapids, past spectacular landscapes, under tumbling cascades, and all the way to the town of Siquirres. Lunch included.

Day 5 – La Fortuna – Wednesday, May 18
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Transfer to Arenal, La Fortuna (approx. 2.5 hours)
- Don Juan Educational Farm – Don Juan Eco Farm is an agriculturally educational sustainable experience. You will have the opportunity to taste tropical crops and discover organic cultivation methods. You will also learn about medicinal plants and how methane gas and compost are produced from organic products on the farm. Learn how they brew their coffee, process their sugar cane and enjoy a fresh sugar cane juice and sugar cane products. Discover the organic, sustainable farming techniques used in Costa Rica.

Day 6 – La Fortuna – Thursday, May 19

- Arenal Volcano National Park Wildlife Tour – Arenal National Park contains a bizarre landscape of solidified lava flows, lush natural forest and tropical flora and fauna which includes howler monkeys, toucans and over 350 bird species.

- Rio Fortuna Waterfall – La Fortuna Waterfall is a thundering, towering cascade of water that hurdles down a steep canyon along La Fortuna river near the Arenal volcano.

Day 7 – Cahuita – Friday, May 20
- Breakfast & Day Briefing
- Tenorio National Park – Located in the Guanacaste Volcanic Mountain Range, this park has a rainforest that protects species of wildlife of regional importance.
- Lunch Break
- Rio Celeste – Hidden in Tenorio Volcano National Park, Rio Celeste, and the waterfall was for long Costa Rica’s best-kept secret.

Day 8 – Day 8 – San Jose – Saturday, May 21
