Itinerary
Day 1 – Departure
- Depart for Beijing, China
Day 2 – Beijing
- Arrive in Beijing, China – Airport Transfer
- Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency.Â
- Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic Peking Roast Duck dinner. Vegan/Vegetarian options available..
Day 3 – Beijing

- Forbidden City – The Forbidden City was the imperial palace to 24 emperors in Ming and Qing Dynasty from 1402 to 1911. Listed in World Heritage Site in 1987, it is the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial architectural complex in the world. Featuring the great square, halls and gates contrast with intricate halls, gardens, courtyards and quarters.
Tiananmen Square - Walking Tour of Hutong Area – Hutong was firstly built in Yuan Dynasty as local dwellings. It is a maze of historic alleyways with single-story traditional courtyard houses, which are fast disappearing. In this one hour tour, you will have a walk through the narrow alleys and get a close touch with local culture and people’s life style.

Day 4 – Beijing

- Mutianyu Great Wall (cable-car to go up) – Located in Huairou County, this less-crowded section of the Great Wall is about 2.5 hours’ drive from downtown Beijing. A cable-car takes you up to a good section to avoid steep climb. From there, you can walk along the wall, through the watchtowers and enjoy superb view as it winds 1.4 miles through lofty mountains and high ridges. Good walking shoes are highly recommended.
- Tai Chi Experience – Tai Chi is an internal martial art system which places emphasis on the development and control of Chi (Consciousness) energy within the body.Â
- Optional Kung Fu show at Red Theatre – Prices from 280 yuan to 880 yuan. (not included)
Day 5 – Beijing

- Summer Palace (including boat ride and the Garden of Virtue and Harmony) – Named as ‘Yiheyuan'(Garden of Nurtured Harmony) in Chinese, Summer Palace is the best preserved and the largest imperial gardens in China. With its perfect layout, magnificent buildings and enchanting landscape, the Summer Palace is also reputed as the most splendid classical garden in China. It has greatly influenced Chinese horticulture and landscaping. All the private owned gardens in eastern China have copied its design and layout.
Business Visit 1 – Chinese All Digital Publishing Group Co. Ltd. – Chinese All was founded by Tsinghua University in 2000. It’s the biggest digital publishing company in China. It’s a listed company since January 2015. They have singed more than 2,000 writers. - Temple of Heaven

- Yuyu Bazaar – The Yuyuan Bazaar is located outside of Yu Garden. Here you can find lots of local products, see everything that the ‘made in China’ label has to offer. You can find clothing, snacks, souvenirs, jewelry, gold and also lots of restaurants with tasty offerings.
- Yu Garden – Built in 1559, Yu Garden is a masterpiece of classic Chinese gardens. As a private garden in Ming Dynasty, it represented the advanced architectural style about 450 years ago.Â
- The Bund – As a walkway along the Huangpu River and the best place to see the skyscrapers in Pudong and historical buildings in Puxi, the Bund has become a must see in Shanghai. The tunnel under Huangpu River is the connection between old and new Shanghai.
Business Visit 2 – Visit Coca Cola Shanghai – The product was first bottled in Shanghai in 1927 by the Watson Mineral Water Company. While World War II halted sales, The Watson Mineral Water Company quickly resumed after the War and in 1947, Shanghai became the first city outside the US to top 1 million cases sold. Sales ceases when the People’s Republic of China was proclaimed in the fall of 1949, but were resumed after Coca-Cola re-entered China in 1979. You’ll visit their museum and production line accompanied by a company representative.

Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall (Including Audio Guide) - Business Visit 3 – Shanghai Baogang Steel Company – Baogang Steel Group Corporation is a typical enterprise arising from China’s reform. Baosteel, with iron and steel as its main business, manufactures premium steel products with high technologies and a high added value and fosters three major product categories, namely carbon steel, stainless steel and special steel.
Day 9 – Shanghai

- Business Visit 4 – Volkswagen Auto Factory – Shanghai VW, leader of top 500 foreign-invested enterprises in China, is marching in its way to higher development. The visit in Shanghai VW District is about 1 hour.Â
- Zhujiajiao Ancient Town – Kezhi Garden, Qing Dynasty Post Office, Culture and Art Museum and Tong Tianhe Pharmacy.
- Business Visit 5 – Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) – Located in the center of Lujiazui Finance & Trade Zone in Pudong, Shanghai World Financial Center was completed in 2008, being the second tallest skyscraper in mainland China.Â
