Itinerary

DAY 1 – DEPARTURE – Saturday, May 11

Depart Home for Athens, Greece

 

DAY 2 – ATHENS – Sunday, May 12

Arrive in Athens, Greece

Airport Transfer 

Check-in, relax and refresh
Orientation Walking Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of an emergency. 

Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets. 

 

DAY 3 – ATHENS – Monday, May 13

Breakfast & Day Briefing 

Athens Historical & Cultural Walking Tour – Syntagma Square, Change of the Guards, Tomb of

the Unknown Soldier, Hadrian’s Arch, Plaka, Monastiraki, and more.

DAY 4 – ATHENS – Tuesday, May 14

Breakfast & Day Briefing 

Cooking Class and Food tasting –  The group will visit the local markets and prepare a three-course traditional meal (lunch included)

Visit the Acropolis Hill and the New Acropolis Museum – Lecture and Discussion:

“Athens: The Cradle of Democracy” led by Local University Faculty Member

DAY 5 – ATHENS – Wednesday, May 15

Breakfast & Day Briefing

Fast Ferry to Aegina (Approx 1,5 Hours)

Walking tour in the main town of AeginaLearn about the history of the island, as the first capital of the Greek State

Beach Time

Return to Athens (Approx 1,5 Hours)

DAY 6 – ATHENS – Thursday, May 16

Breakfast & Day Briefing

Early morning Athens Central Market – Visit the place where the trucks come from all over and it is the wholesale market of fish, meat and vegetables
Service Learning Project – TBC i.e. Boroume: a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce food waste and fight malnutrition in Greece; Social kitchen ‘the other man’: a self-governing group, which cooks food in public places for the community. 

Lycabettus Hill – Visit to the Chapel of Saint George and enjoy the sunset view.

Optional Traditional Greek Dance Lesson 

DAY 7 – NAFPLIO – Friday, May 17

Breakfast & Day Briefing

Transfer to Nemea (Approx 1,5  hours)

Visit a Local Vineyard in Nemea – Wine Tasting Experience.

Transfer to Nafplio (Approx 45 mins)

Check-in, Refresh and Relax

 

DAY 8 – NAFPLIO – Saturday, May 18

Breakfast & Day Briefing 

Nafplio Walking Tour – One of the most beautiful towns in the area of Argolis (in eastern Peloponnese) as well as one of the most romantic cities all over Greece, Nafplio was the first capital of the newly born Greek state between 1823 and 1834.

Lunch Break

Free afternoon in Nafplio

Suggested activities – Beach Time, Palamidi fortress, Bourtzi, Archaeological Museum, Komboloi 

Overnight in Nafplio

 

DAY 9 – NAFPLIO – Saturday, May 19

Breakfast & Day Briefing 

Business Visits – Agritourism property , Olive Oil and cheese Immersion. The experience includes a group lunch with the products of the company.

DAY 10 – ATHENS – Sunday, May 20

Breakfast & Day Briefing 

Return to Athens  (Approx 2 hours)

Payments Schedule

150 days prior to departure $500 per person is due and payable by December 13, 2023.

90 days prior to departure, the second payment in the amount of 50% of the remaining amount is due and payable by February 11, 2024.

60 days prior to departure, the third and final payment in the amount of the remaining amount is due and payable by March 12, 2024.
