Itinerary

Day 1 – Belize City 

  • Depart for Belize City, Belize
  • Arrive Belize City
  • Check in, Relax & Refresh
  • Orientation Walking Tour
  • Welcome Dinner – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 2 – Belize City 

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Day Trip to Lamanai Archaeological Site – Looming over the west bank of the New River Lagoon, Lamanai, or “submerged crocodile,” is off the beaten track-perhaps the reason why it thrived for over 3000 years. The city of Lamanai began its regional supremacy around 1500 B.C. Extending from the formative years of the Mayan world to the preaching friars of Spanish colonists, Lamanai flourished and supported a vast community of farmers, merchants, and traders.

Day 3 – Belize City

Day 4 – Belize City

  • Belize Museum – Built between 1854 and 1857 as a Her Majesty’s Prison while the area was still a British colony, it was a replacement for a wooden prison nearby. It was the Belize City Prison until 1993, when prisoners were then transferred to the Hattieville Prison. In 2002, it was restored and renovated into a national museum.

Day 5 – Belize City

  • Belize Zoo – The Belize Zoo is an institution that cares for over 150 native wildlife, and promotes Conservation, Education, Recreation, and Research.

Day 6 – Belize City

  • Belizean Cooking Class – Cooking Class offers a unique cooking experience of Belizean cuisine in a welcoming village environment with abundant nature. The class typically starts with Mrs. Ava’s introduction and explanation about the flow of this cooking class. The students take turns to cook some parts of the meal by themselves. After that, the group can enjoy their meal over a sit-down meal together.

Day 7 – Caye Caulker 

  • Breakfast  & Day Briefing
  • Class Observation at Stella Maris School
  • Lunch Break
  • Ferry Transfer to Caye Caulker – Caye Caulker, located 21 miles northeast of Belize City and 11 miles south of Ambergris Caye, is the second largest of the Belize cayes. The island is about 4 miles long, but the town is only about a mile long. Caye Caulker was primarily a fishing community; but its economy has become increasingly tourism-based.

Day 8 – Caye Caulker

  • Breakfast  & Day Briefing
  • Snorkel Hol Chan Marine Reserve – The Hol Chan Marine Reserve was established as a marine protected area in 1987 under the Laws of Belize. 
  • Farewell Dinner & Program Closing – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 9 – Return 

  • Breakfast  & Day Briefing
  • Ferry to Belize City (First Ferry) & Airport Transfer
  • Depart Belize City for Home
