Itinerary

DAY 01 – May, 28 – Departure

  • Depart Home for Barcelona, Spain

DAY 02 – May 29 – Barcelona

  • Arrive in Barcelona, Spain
  • Airport Transfer, Bags Drop Off
  • Check In, Relax and Refresh
  • Orientation Tour – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. 
  • Welcome Dinner & Program Orientation – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater most diets.

DAY 03 – May 30 – Barcelona

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Barcelona Walking Tour – El Peix, Plaça de Cataluña, Mercado de la Boqueria, Plaça Reial, Columbus Monument, Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar… and more!
    Lunch Time
    Casa Batlló & Casa Milà
    Plaça d’Espanya
  • Park Guell – Visit one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900.

DAY 04 – May, 31 – Barcelona

  • Breakfast and Day Briefing
  • Sagrada Familia & Gaudi Museum La Sagrada Família is one of Gaudí’s most famous works in Barcelona. It’s a giant Basilica that has been under construction since 1882 (that’s not a typing error) and it’s not expected to be completed for some time yet.
    Torre Agbar – Torre Agbar is intended to recall the shape of a geyser rising into the air. It was inspired by Montserrat, a mountain near Barcelona.

    Barcelona Pavilion – The Barcelona Pavilion designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, was the German Pavilion for the 1929 International Exposition in Barcelona, Spain.

DAY 05 – June, 1 – Seville

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Transfer to the Train Station
  • High Speed Train Transfer to Seville
  • Arrive in Seville
  • Transfer to the Hotel, Drop Bags

  • Seville Cathedral – Also known as the Cathedral of St. Mary of the See, it is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the third Christian temple after St. Peter’s in Rome and St. Paul’s in London.

DAY 06 – June, 2 – Seville

  • Breakfast & Day Briefing
  • Visit Barrio de Santa Cruz
  • Lunch Time
  • Royal Alcazar & Garden of Seville – In the early 20th century, an aristocrat bought what he thought was El Greco’s house and did a meritorious job of returning it to period style

DAY 07 – June, 3 – Seville

  • Breakfast and Day Briefing
  • Seville Walking Tour – Metropol Parasol, Plaza de Torres, Torre de Oro, San Telmo Palace… and more!
  • Lunch Time
  • Free Afternoon in Seville

DAY 08 – June, 4 – Madrid

  • Breakfast and Day Briefing
  • Transfer to the Train Station
  • High Speed Train Transfer to Madrid
  • Arrive in Madrid
  • Transfer to the Hotel, Drop Bags
  • Orientation Tour
  • Prado Museum – Visit the Museo del Prado and discover masterpieces by Velázquez, Rubens, Goya, El Bosco, El Greco, etc.

DAY 09 – June, 5 – Madrid

  • Breakfast and Day Briefing
  • Madrid Walking Tour – Mercado de San Miguel, Puerta del Sol, Plaza de Oriente… and more!
  • Lunch Time
  • Royal Palace – Home to the Kings of Spain from Charles III to Alfonso XIII, Madrid’s Royal Palace takes us on a journey through the history of Spain.
  • Farewell Dinner & Program Closing – The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a variety of menu options to cater most diets.

DAY 10 – June, 6 – Return

  • Breakfast and Day Briefing
  • Airport Transfer
  • Depart Spain for Home

Program payments

Students will pay Study Abroad Association directly via methods outlined below.

1st Payment:$400 Deposit due upon registration, deadline to register: January 31st, 2020

(Deposit is non-refundable unless the program is cancelled) 

2nd Payment: $2,050 due February 14th, 2020

3rd Payment: $1,100 due March 30th, 2020

Notes: Airfare is not included in the program; Please wait for confirmation that trip has met the minimum number of participants before purchasing airfare.

Payment Policy: The 1st deposit is refundable up to 100 days prior to departure. If the trip is canceled for not reaching the minimum number of participants the deposit will also be refunded.
